About the Artist
I am a graphic designer and digital artist currently based in the Pacific Northwest. The work I produce is often colorful, but clean and communicative. The combinations of red-orange or blue-green with blue or purple often find their way into my designs as well. Although modern typography and design have been the majority of my education, I also like to experiment with postmodernism, and enjoy adding personality into the art I make. I am familiar with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as the digital drawing program Pixelmator. In terms of the kinds of work I have been sought out to do, I have designed the logo for the 38th annual International System Safety Conference and been commissioned for a few stylized digital portraits. Personally, I would like to reach younger clients in creative media industries.
I also dabble in the worlds of illustration and oil & acrylic painting. Throughout the past five years, I have been cultivating my skills in these areas, mostly through my two year IB Higher Level Visual arts course. Nature, identity, and social/ environmental issues are prevalent topics in my work, paired with the inner visions of my imagination giving many of my pieces a surrealist leaning. Over the past year, I have been commissioned to do numerous drawings of several friends-of-friends and pets in pen and colored pencil. I am also planning to start selling larger scale original paintings in the near future.
